The National Symphony Orchestra Youth Fellowship Program is an orchestral training project for talented, young instrumentalists. From its inception in to the present, the program provides Washington metropolitan area instrumentalists with full scholarships to study privately with NSO and WNO musicians, as well as opportunities to observe NSO rehearsals; attend concerts; and to participate in seminars, discussions, and master classes with musicians, conductors, and NSO and Kennedy Center management.
The Program was recently expanded to include chamber music coached by NSO musicians and side-by-side rehearsal opportunities with the NSO.
Other graduates are involved in chamber music, the teaching of music, or arts management. As a non-profit organization, the Kennedy Center is reliant upon our generous donors to fulfill our mission.
