To maintain supervisory status, a supervisor must successfully complete a minimum of 3 hours of clinical supervision continuing education each renewal period and pass the jurisprudence examination. Licensed professional counselors are required to obtain a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education and pass the jurisprudence examination during each renewal period they hold a license.
At least 4 of the hours obtained must be in the area of ethics. The successful completion of the jurisprudence examination shall count as 1 hour of ethics. Licensed psychologists, psychological associates, and specialists in school psychology are required to obtain a minimum of 40 hours of professional development during each renewal period they hold a license.
