Game Play Player 1 starts first the player with the number 1 runner card and presses the button on the idol.
The idol will issue a command like Player 1 — Jump and player 1 can get rid of one of their Jump cards if they have any and then press the button on the idol to end their turn. You have 3 seconds to play a card otherwise you hear a monkey screeching sound and you have to take an extra card from the pile. If the idol tells you to pass you can pass one of your cards to any other player who has to add it to their pile — remember to do this within 3 seconds and press the button otherwise you will have to draw another card.
If you play the wrong card you can pause the game by pressing and holding the button on the idol, the player that discarded the wrong card must take it back and take another card from the deck as punishment. Press the button again to restart. Overall This is an excellent, face-paced game.
Having played this and the board game version with my 2 nieces ages 11 and 13 we all agreed that this is a much better and more exciting game. Easy to understand and play and as all you need is the deck of cards you can take it anywhere with you and play anywhere.
